1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Worio. If you're under 18, you need parental consent. By creating an account, you confirm you meet these requirements.

2. License & Usage

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Worio for language learning. You may not resell, reverse-engineer, or extract our content or algorithms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools (bots) to access or scrape our services
• Share your account credentials with others
• Upload offensive, illegal, or copyright-infringing content
• Interfere with the security or operation of our systems

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Free Plan: No payment required, limited features.
Trial: New users are granted a 30-day Premium trial (no credit card required). The trial does not auto-renew — at the end of 30 days the account automatically continues on the Free plan with no charge.
Premium: If you choose to subscribe after the trial, Premium is billed monthly (€8.99) or annually (€79) through the App Store or Google Play. The subscription auto-renews at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. You can manage or cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Refunds: Aligned with App Store / Google Play policies. Contact us at billing@worio.app for assistance.

4a. Apple App Store Users (EULA)

If you downloaded Worio from the Apple App Store, your use of the app is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). These Terms of Use are concluded between you and Worio (operated by Thuc Hien Nguyen), not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. In the event of any conflict between Apple's EULA and these Terms, Apple's EULA prevails for the relevant clauses required by Apple. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with the right to enforce them.

5. Intellectual Property

All content (word packs, stories, UI design) is owned by Thuc Hien Nguyen or licensed for use in Worio. Your saved words and progress remain yours, but the underlying service and algorithms are our property.

6. Disclaimers

Worio is provided "as is" without warranties. We don't guarantee fluency, uninterrupted service, or any specific learning outcome. We're not responsible for third-party content or links.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Thuc Hien Nguyen is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Worio.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by German law. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Singen (Hohentwiel), Germany.
